Summer Fun: Splish Splash He’s Not Taking a Bath

splash_mat_fun The other day we put Andrew in his Fisher Price Sprinkle N’ Splash play mat for some quality play time outside. We bought this mat a few weeks ago and we finally had a chance to let him play in it for the first time.

It was a nice, hot day (90 degrees), but I was worried that the water would be too cold since it was coming straight from the garden hose. I put Andrew in the mat and as soon as the water hit him, he was already shivering. I thought this wouldn’t last long, but he got used to the water pretty quickly.

After the initial shock, he LOVED this play mat! In no time he was crawling around and splashing like a crazy baby. My favorite part was when he tried to drink the water like a water fountain. My not so favorite part was when he went face first into the water with his mouth open trying to drink up all the water!

Overall, this mat is excellent for a quick cool off on a hot day. You can get it up in under a minute and there is enough activity going on to keep baby interested in staying in the mat.

While all this was going on, I was thinking about what my water bill will be like! But hey, its worth it right?
